MJJSOURCE was Michaels official website during the Santa Maria Trial.

It was set up and run by Randy Jackson, Randy's girlfriend Taunya Zilkie and Karen Faye with the help of various fan club owners who were volunteers.

Its original purpose was to be a voice for Michael, where official statements could be posted and fans could get up to date accurate media spin free information about what was happening in the court.

In December 2004 the website changed direction, created a premium membership fee of $49.99 which would give access to hidden content as well as promising competitions and online chats among other things.

Along with the majority of the online fan community at the time, I send off my $49.99 in good faith, believing that we would get all we were promised.

How naive we were.....

This is the story of my experiences with MJJSOURCE, told through screen-caps of my original saved emails from 2005 and screen-caps from the archive section of www.mjj2005.com/kopboard

and the fact that the dates in the email do not correspond.
I registered in February 2005, yet the dates in the email refer to preregistering in January!!
the competition never took place!!

Things promised to all who paid $49.99

*** A competition prize of trip to Neverland, dinner with Michael, accommodation and transport to & from Neverland for 2 people
*** A glossy photo of Michael
*** An online store for merchandise
*** A competition prize of one of 20 Ultimate Collection Box-sets, signed by Michael
*** A high quality, professional website

Through out 2005, the site was best with problems and was often offline. Emails from fans took weeks to be replied to or were not replied to.

While we never got any official confirmation, it was very obvious that Michael was not aware of exactly what was happening with MJJSOURCE. He knew of the site, and trusted that his brother Randy and his long term friend Karen Faye would take care of things for him.

After the trial, Raymone Bain took over as Michaels manager and became the go to person for the fans. When the stress and huge workload of the trial ended, Raymone Bain was able to investigate just exactly what was happening with MJJSOURCE. Michael at this time had now moved to Bahrain, so Raymone investigated, and found out and reported back to Michael. MJJSOURCE was subsequently shut down and a new team, ie Raymone took over.

With Michael's move to Bahrain, people who had been part of his team ie, Randy, Karen, Taunya were removed from his life. Michael streamlined and Raymone Bain was the one in charge of Michael's business.

After these posts, MJJSOURCETEAM did not return to KOPBOARD and was subsequently banned by the admin. Despite requests from the admin, no proof was ever given that this person was indeed reopening MJJSOURCE or working for Michael or had any connection to Raymone Bain.

Needless to say this website did not appear.

The original MJJSOURCE website was hosted by Go-Daddy and the registrant was ZILK INC ie Taunya Zilkie

MJJSOURCE was originally set up to release press statements relating to the trail but once Randy, Karen and Taunya became involved they turned it into a mess and fiasco.

At the time, many fans wanted to take legal action about the $49.99 Premium Membership fee. After all a major fraud had been committed, and a very large amount of money had been paid by the fan community for services which they never received. It was decided among the fan community NOT to take legal action, as this would reflect badly on Michael. We knew that it would be Michael that would held accountable and not Randy, and no one wanted to harm Michael in any way.

So who is to blame??

Is it Michael for putting his trust in his brother, to run an his official website and to look after his beloved fans???

Is it the fans who handed over $49.99 in good faith, for the chance to meet Michael among other things???

Is it Randy & his team who promised things they shouldn't have and got in way over their heads in a project they were not able to control or had the proper experience to manage???

Is it the actual trial itself, which was a hugely stressful time and took so much emotionally and physically from everyone???

Everyone has a different side to tell, everyone has their opinions and views, which is right, which is wrong???
