KATHERINE JACKSON At Arizona Spa ... BUT Why Abandon MJ's Kids?
7/23/2012 11:58 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Katherine Jackson is at a fancy spa in Tucson, Arizona, but the big question now ... why did she effectively abandon Michael Jackson's 3 kids?

Sources tell us ... Michael Jackson's siblings took Katherine from the family compound in Encino, CA to the Arizona spa, because they feel "the house is utter chaos" and Katherine is exhausted.

Here's the mystery ... Paris and presumably the other 2 kids were never told Katherine was leaving and it's been 2 weeks since they've seen her.  So why would Michael's brothers and sisters yank Katherine from the home when she is the only parental link to the 3 kids who are still coping with their father's death?

Sources familiar with the situation tell us ... there's a "concerted effort" to get Katherine on board to challenge Michael Jackson's will and get the Executors removed.  In addition to Randy and Jermaine, Rebbie and Janet are also on board, although it's unclear exactly how much Jackie supports the move.

Michael's siblings have a lot to gain if the will is invalidated, because it cuts them out of Michael's fortune, and once Katherine dies all the money is firmly earmarked to MJ's kids, charity, and that's it.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. is still treating the report that Katherine went missing as an open investigation and they are doing a follow-up to make sure she's ok.

Katherine Jackson Told Family She Was Leaving Town, Despite Reports Claiming She Disappeared
Posted on Mon Jul 23, 2012 11:25 AM PDT

When Katherine Jackson left for Arizona, she DID let the children know she was leaving town, a Jackson family source confirms to X17.
Various online reports claim the Jackson matriarch left her home in Calabasas without notifying Paris, Prince and Blanket of her plans.
A source from within the family tells X17online exclusively, “This is simply untrue. In fact, Prince helped her [Katherine] carry her bags to the car before she left on her trip.”

As for the Tweets from Paris Jackson’s Twitter account claiming that Katherine was missing, family members suspect Katherine’s nephew, Trent, was behind those messages.

We’re told Katherine went to Arizona to spend time with her daughter Rebbie, and to get away from Trent, who the Jacksons say is “the very person and persons we are trying to protect our mother from.” Currently, we're told Trent is prohibiting family members from speaking with Michael's three children.

Aside from being investigated for filing a bogus missing persons report, X17online exclusively reported that Trent is also named in a pending elder abuse investigation being conducted by the Sheriff’s Department.
Although Steve Whitmore of the LA County Sheriff’s Department declined to comment, the Jackson family confirms that the investigation, which also names current Jackson estate executors John Branca and John McClain, is underway.

The Jackson strife: Family bickers over whereabouts of Michael's mom
By Alan Duke, CNN
July 23, 2012 -- Updated 1945 GMT (0345 HKT)

Los Angeles (CNN) -- A lawyer for Katherine Jackson is asking the FBI for help, saying Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were not allowed to see Michael Jackson's mother in Arizona as part of a missing person investigation Monday.

"Randy's security refused to allow them in," attorney Sandra Ribera told CNN Monday. She said she was referring to Randy Jackson, Katherine Jackson's youngest son.

Because the 82-year-old matriarch of the Jackson music dynasty was taken across state lines, Ribera said, she hopes the FBI will investigate the circumstances of what she called her disappearance.

It is the latest chapter in a messy dispute between several of Jackson's children and her advisers over her finances and legal affairs.

The lack of contact with her since July 15 led her nephew Trent Jackson to file the missing person report with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department late Saturday, Ribera said.

Paris Jackson Only Went to Uncles’ Show Last Night Hoping to See Grandmother–Still Missing
07/23/12 3:08pmRoger Friedman

Paris Jackson went to the Greek Theater last night in L.A. not to support her uncles–but to see her grandmother. She and her adult cousins–who are watching Paris, Prince, and Michael–were told grandmother Katherine Jackson would be at the show. She was not. As far as anyone knows, KAtherine Jackson is still in Phoenix with her daughter Rebbie and cousins. She has not had any communication with her custodial grandchildren. My sources say her cell phone and laptop have been removed.

“The children are very worried,” says a source– and rightly so. Mrs. Jackson went to Phoenix with the intention of seeing her four sons appear in three shows–in Phoenix and Las Vegas. She never appeared at any of them and has not been heard from since. And now the brothers have played in Los Angeles, and still Mrs. Jackson is missing. She is not “fine” by any means if she’s being prevented from contacting her grandchildren and her attorneys. As of this afternoon, no one has heard from her. This is a serious situation.

For one thing, she is the legal guardian of three minor children. Second, she is the heir to a large estate–her son Michael’s. The feeling is that she won’t re-surface until she agrees to the demands that five of her children laid out in a letter to Michael Jackson’s executors last week. This is unbelievable. Certainly Rebbie Jackson Brown can be made to produce her mother in a court if pressed by the guardian ad litem for the children. More to come…

PS Paris Jackson has been pulled off of Twitter. There have been no new messages since yesterday.

And TMZ is wrong–Katherine was not taken to Phoenix to a spa…

EXCLUSIVE FIRST PHOTO - Katherine Jackson Relaxing With Family In Arizona, Playing Uno
Posted on Mon Jul 23, 2012 12:15 PM PDT

Here's proof that Katherine Jackson is happy and healthy with her family in Arizona ... playing the card game, Uno.
X17online has exclusively obtained the first photo of the Jackson matriarch relaxing at an Arizona resort while visiting with her daughter Rebbie, her granddaughter Stacy and also her great grandson, London.

As X17 first reported, Katherine was interviewed by the Pima County Sheriff's Department. The sheriff who conducted the interview gave us the following first hand account:

"When I got there, Katherine Jackson and her family were at the dinner table and had just finished a game of Uno. In fact, their dinner plates were still in front of them. She seemed like she was having a good time. She was happy, safe and healthy. Basically Mrs. Jackson was vacationing with her family here in Arizona."

X17 also reported exclusively that Michael's mom did let the children know she was leaving town, contrary to various online reports who claim she disappeared.

Looks like Mrs. Jackson does, in fact, love Uno!

Katherine Jackson's Nephew & Estate Executors Not Being Investigated For Elder Abuse
Posted on Jul 23, 2012 @ 02:30PM
By Jen Heger - Radar Assistant Managing Editor

Media reports circulated on Monday morning that Katherine Jackson's nephew, Trent Jackson, and the executors of Michael Jackson's estate, John Branca and John McClain are being investigated for elder abuse, however, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that report is false.

"There is no elder abuse investigation going on involving Trent Jackson, or the executors of the estate. That report is absolutely false," Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

As previously reported, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives were turned away at the house where Katherine Jackson has been staying since being reported missing because they didn't have jurisdiction and the Pima County Sheriff's Department had already determined that Katherine was safe. The detectives were told Katherine was safe, and are on their way back to Los Angeles without having made any contact with her.

The latest Jackson family drama comes as Katherine was blindsided after a letter from several of her children demanded their resignations of the executors of Michael's estate, John Branca and John McClain (after three previous failed attempts).

The letter, allegedly from Janet, Rebbie, Tito, Randy, and Jermaine, demanded the executors resign immediately because they believe the late singer's will was a fake. The letter also alleged that the executors' manipulations left Katherine in bad health, having recently suffered a mini-stroke (Katherine has denied such).

The executors have strongly denied the charges in the letter and point out that they have substantially increased the value of the estate. Also as Radar first reported, the statute of limitations has run out on challenging the will.

Jackson Family Member: “Kids Are Lying” About Not Hearing from Grandmother
07/23/12 4:26pmRoger Friedman

A real war has broken out between the members of the Jackson family who want Michael Jackson’s money and his kids. A member of the family just told me that Michael’s kids are “lying” about not hearing from their grandmother. Meanwhile, I can tell you exclusively that Katherine Jackson is NOT visiting with her granddaughter in Arizona. I just got off the phone with someone in Stacy Brown’s house in California. She is right at home, and simply not in Arizona. The Sheriff’s Department in Pima County, Arizona says they saw Katherine Jackson, and the tabloid photo site X17 Online somehow has a picture Katherine and some family members playing Uno at the dinner table last night.
Whoever Katherine is with, it’s NOT her 44 year old granddaughter, the daughter of eldest child Rebbie and her husband Nathaniel Brown. Stacy is married to a music producer and they live in Los Angeles. Katherine Jackson does have cousins in Phoenix, but their numbers don’t answer. A source close to the Jackson saga confirms: “You know the family is going to try and get Katherine to sign papers and they won’t let her leave til she does.” By the way, Rebbie and husband Nathaniel live with Stacee and her husband in Los Angeles–so none of them are in Arizona, thanks.

Source: Katherine Jackson's 'missing person' incident is latest evidence of family's extreme 'dysfunction'
By Hollie McKay Pop Tarts
Published July 23, 2012

Alarm bells were raised over the weekend following the news that the matriarch of the Jackson family and legal guardian of Michael’s three children, Katherine Jackson, 82, was officially reported missing. But while the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has since revealed that Mrs. Jackson is safe with family in Arizona, inside sources tell Fox411 that this latest incident is evidence that the family dynamic has grown increasingly dysfunctional.

However, a source close to the family told us that this latest bizarre development is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the turmoil brewing within the Jackson family.

“This is a desperate measure, as there is no money coming in other than the allowance the estate gives Katherine," explained the insider.

"The family is trying to convince Katherine to join them to handing over power of attorney."

The source also claimed that Katherine’s nephew, Trent Jackson –who reportedly alerted cops to her disappearance – is currently caring for Michael’s children. But Trent’s close relationship with the children is also said to be a huge source of contention.

“The kids like being around Trent and he always been there for both Katherine and Micheal over the years, so there is a lot of jealousy at play,” continued the insider.  “Micheal would be turning in his grave. His mom and children being at the center of this storm would break his heart.”

But despite this odd missing persons incident, Ribera insisted that Katherine and Michael's children have a happy life together, but said she had no first-hand knowledge regarding any financial issues regarding any other of the Jackson clan.

Cops Called to Katherine Jackson's Home, Stop Michael Jackson's Children Being Removed By Janet, Jermaine and Randy Jackson (EXCLUSIVE)
9 hours ago  10
Update 8:24pm EST
:

Sheriff's deputies were responding to reports of a fight at the home of Katherine Jackson. Officials have confirmed the fight involved various family members, though no arrests were made.

"Lost Hills deputies responded to a family disturbance at the home of Katherine Jackson in the city of Calabasas. Deputies determined that a physical altercation had occurred, a battery. It involved members on the Jackson family," Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Department, said.

---

Los Angeles police were called to the Calabasas, Calif., mansion of Jackson family matriarch Katherine earlier Monday to stop Michael Jackson's three children from being removed from the house, Celebuzz has exclusively learned.

It's understood at least three siblings of the late pop star Michael Jackson -- Janet, Jermaine, Randy -- arrived at the mansion 82-year-old Katherine shares with the late pop star's children, Prince Michael, 15, Paris, 14, and ten-year-old Prince Michael 2.

"Janet, Jermaine and Randy turned up with what appeared to be a television crew in tow," a source at the home told Celebuzz.

It's understood Katherine's personal security prevented the trio of uncle and aunts from taking the children and immediately called police. It is not known if police were involved in thwarting Janet, Jermaine and Randy's plans.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed the development when contacted by Celebuzz.

"We were called out to her home at 1.10pm," the Watch Commander at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station confirmed.

"Police are currently still trying to determine what happened at the home, so at this point, we do not have any further information."

As Celebuzz previously reported, the legal guardian for the three Jackson children was reported missing to police late on Saturday -- as a family feud escalated over his multi-billion dollar will.

Michael Jackson Siblings Barred From Mom's House After Attempting To Remove His Kids
Posted on Jul 23, 2012 @ 08:33PM
By Jen Heger - Radar Assistant Managing Editor

UPDATE: Paris just posted on her Twitter: "8 days and counting . something is really off , this isn’t like her at all .. i wanna talk directly to my grandmother!!<|3"

***

Jermaine, Randy and Janet Jackson have been barred from their mother Katherine's Calabasas home after attempting to remove their brother Michael's three children from the house on Monday, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The situation adds to the ongoing drama with the Jackson family, as Katherine has been in Arizona for more than a week and hasn't spoken to her grandchildren, of whom she is the legal guardian. "It was just total chaos when Jermaine, Randy and Janet descended on the house.

"Randy was telling Prince Michael he had to leave with them and that he had a private jet chartered to take them all to Arizona to see Katherine. Prince firmly held his ground and told Randy he wasn't going anywhere with them. The security detail prevented the three of them from taking the kids out of state. The cops had to be called and Janet kept saying they had a legal right to be at the house when in fact they don't. The rental house is in the name of Michael Jackson's estate, so they were told to leave immediately. For the time being, they won't be allowed to come back to the rental house and guards at the security gate have been told under no circumstances are they to allow them in. Paris was absolutely hysterical and kept telling her uncles to just bring her grandmother home," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com.

"The plan to take the kids out of the house was going to be a publicity stunt. The kids were going to be paraded into the house in Arizona where Katherine is staying and those photos would be published on a website favored by Randy Jackson."

As previously reported Janet was behind Katherine's removal from her home to Arizona, after becoming adamant that her mom needed bed rest and to be checked out by an independent doctor. And a source has revealed that Katherine is doing just fine.

"Katherine is very well,” a family member told RadarOnline.com. “Janet was behind the whole thing – she felt that Katherine needed medical help and was desperate for her to get some bed rest."

"Michael's children are being cared for by their nanny and legal options are being explored about ensuring their safety. The children are very, very smart and they are surrounded by excellent bodyguards that won't allow anything unsavory to happen to them. The kids just want their grandmother back, and want the family drama to end. Now that Paris and Prince are old enough, they understand why Michael didn't have much of a relationship with anyone in the family except for Katherine," the source says.

LAPD Sheriff: Two Jackson Family Members in “Minor Scuffle” at Home
07/23/12 11:32pmRoger Friedman

The police were called to Katherine Jackson’s rented home in Calabasas earlier today. Spokesman Steve Whitmore said they had to break up a “minor scuffle” between two Jackson family members around 1:10pm Pacific time. No one was arrested. But the call came on the heels of the missing persons report about Katherine Jackson, and all the weird stuff that’s gone on for the last week concerning Michael Jackson’s kids, his mother, his siblings, his executors and a cast of characters everyone thought had finally settled down.

I’m told by a source that Randy, Jermaine and Janet Jackson tried to enter the house with the idea of taking Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson–three minor children whose guardian is Katherine–out. Where exactly? That part hasn’t been determined yet. But once the police left, security ejected the trio and told them not to return.

My source says, “Randy got into it with a security guard, and even Janet was very aggressive. They all had cameras out and running to record what was happening.” The “scuffle” between two family members may have been between Michael’s brother Randy and Joe Jackson’s nephew, Trent. The latter was hired by Michael Jackson seven or eight years ago to take care of Mrs. Jackson–drive her, run errands, whatever she needed. There was a rumor today that Jermaine and Randy were going to accuse Trent of “elder abuse”–but the rumor was scotched by Whitmore. By all accounts, Trent has taken excellent care of Mrs. Jackson.
The altercation was settled, but bad feelings linger. If I were Jermaine or Randy Jackson, I’d get Mrs. Jackson home to Calabasas and her court-appointed guardianship right away.

The Jackson strife: Family bickers over whereabouts of Michael's mom
By Alan Duke, CNN
July 24, 2012 -- Updated 0211 GMT (1011 HKT)

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Feuding among Michael Jackson's family reached a new level Monday when a "scuffle" erupted at Katherine Jackson's home in Calabasas, California, according a sheriff's spokesman.

Paris Jackson, the 14-year-old daughter of the late pop icon, posted a Twitter message about the time the incident was happening: "gotta love fam."

She also tweeted about her distress about not hearing from her grandmother for more than a week: "8 days and counting . something is really off , this isn't like her at all .. i wanna talk directly to my grandmother!!<|3"

Deputies were called to the mansion where Katherine Jackson has been raising Prince, 15, Paris and Blanket, 10, since their father died three years ago, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

A battery report was taken, but no arrests were made, Whitmore said. He would not identify who was involved because "the investigation is ongoing."

Janet, Jermaine and Randy Jackson were on the scene, a source with firsthand knowledge of the incident said. The source asked not to be named because of the sensitivity of the matter.

The drama happened as Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives closed a missing persons case opened for Katherine Jackson, who was found to be with daughter Rebbie in Arizona.

"Katherine Jackson has been located and she is fine and with family," Whitmore said. "Our missing persons case is closed." Deputies talked to two family members and were satisfied, he said.

A lawyer for Katherine Jackson is not satisfied, saying the sheriff's deputies who tried to talk to her in Arizona Monday were blocked from seeing her.

Because the 82-year-old matriarch of the Jackson music dynasty was taken across state lines, Katherine Jackson attorney Sandra Ribera said earlier, she hopes the FBI will investigate the circumstances of what she called her disappearance.

Jermaine Jackson, in a statement posted on Twitter Sunday night, said his mother "is safe and well in Arizona with her daughter and our sister, Rebbie, resting up on doctor's advice."
But Michael Jackson's three children still have not heard from their grandmother eight days after she left them at home, Ribera said.

Paris Jackson Tells Family Members That Her Tweets Are Being Manipulated By Her Cousin Trent And By Security
Posted on Mon Jul 23, 2012 07:00 PM PDT

Paris, Prince and Blanket are prohibited from seeing their aunts and uncles at Katherine Jackson's Calabasas home ... all because of Katherine's nephew, Trent, according to a Jackson family source.

Janet, Jermaine and Rebbie's son Austin all showed up at Katherine's estate to speak with Michael's three children to tell them "they can go see their grandmother anytime."

However, Trent Jackson, using "military-style security tactics," would not allow them to visit, according to a source. Trent is also the same family member who's part of an ongoing investigation involving elder abuse.

A Jackson family source tells X17online exclusively:

"Trent has instructed security to not allow family into the home. The kids were told they had every right to come visit their grandma in Arizona, but they flat out said 'we don't want to.' Now Trent is telling the cooks and the staff to not show up to work so that it looks like the children aren't being cared for. He knows he's been caught and now he's trying to use the children to cover it up."

The family source adds, "Paris has confided in her cousins that Trent and a security member have been "putting her up to Tweeting out messages against the family."

As for why the kids declined an offer to visit their grandmother, our source adds,
"Paris is trying to get out of going to summer school and without her grandmother there, she's succeeding. She's extremely manipulative and just wants to stay home and have fun. And at only 15, Prince is trying to get his girlfriend to come stay at the house. With Trent overseeing the children, it's complete chaos and they have no boundaries."

X17online exclusively obtained the photo of Katherine Jackson visiting her daughter Rebbie in Arizona and enjoying the card game, Uno. Arizona Sheriff's authorities have confirmed that the Jackson matriarch is "having a good time with family."
